Our story
From an Argentine kitchen to Utah freezers.
About Modern Gaucho
Modern Gaucho begins with an Argentine home cook, his own family recipes, and a move to South Jordan, Utah. Every empanada is made from scratch and folded by hand—not designed by a food company to merely look Argentine.
The tradition
The traditional menu keeps the familiar favorites honest: beef, chicken, and ham and cheese, prepared with real ingredients and the technique the founder grew up with.
A modern line with substance
Garbanzo, lentil, soy/TVP, spinach-ricotta, humita, and squash fillings make room for plant-forward eaters without turning lunch into a compromise. They are hearty, protein-forward, and built to satisfy.
Made for Utah family life
Empanadas arrive frozen, bake without thawing, and wait patiently for a busy Tuesday. Beginning October 2026, Modern Gaucho will deliver monthly family boxes throughout Salt Lake County, including South Jordan, Daybreak, Riverton, Herriman, West Jordan, and Sandy.
